Shankar Laturkar began his journey as a shirt-maker with renowned tailoring houses like LK Tailor and Charlie Chaplin Tailors in Ulhasnagar. Alongside his brother Basavraj, he opened his first shop, Shriman Collection, near Nagrani Mandir, Ulhasnagar. With a small team of 4 dedicated karagirs, they focused on quality tailoring and personal customer relationships — the cornerstones that still define the brand today.

The demand grew rapidly. In 1995, they shifted to Satramdas Chowk, expanding the team to 8 karagirs. Shriman Collection became known for dependable service, perfect fitting, and honest craftsmanship.

With years of experience and customer trust behind him, Mr. Shankar launched a new, standalone brand — Laturkar’s — in Ulhasnagar-4, Main Market (Shop No. 177). This was more than a shop.
